Nothing Matters (And That’s a Good Thing)

Work Without God Is Heavy

Ecclesiastes 2:22–23

“What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun?”

What the Teacher Observes

Work done without meaning becomes exhausting. Toil without purpose drains joy.

Why It Feels Heavy

When work becomes our identity, rest feels impossible. We measure our worth by productivity and feel anxious when we stop.

Where God Restores Meaning

Work offered to God becomes lighter. It no longer has to prove anything. Even unseen labor matters when it’s given back to Him.

Gentle Practice

Before you work today, say quietly:

“Lord, this is Yours.”

Prayer

God, help me release the pressure to prove my worth. Let my work be an offering, not a burden. Amen.
